Sy Giles is a very talented artist, who until now has kept the majority of his visual art tucked away in the private collections of his closet and some close friends. Sy is a skilled and accomplished painter and woodworker creating a variety of works in the remote northern California mountain valley, where he has lived most of his life.

Sy is most passionate about his watercolor paintings, and there are plenty to enjoy. He continues to create inspired works every year. Sy also brings his creative mind and hands into his work as a talented builder, mill operator, fine woodworker, and finish carpenter. Clearly, the many things Sy builds are a beautiful and functional part of his art creations.

Sy has a very active life beyond his highly sought after building and painting. He also practices the art of parenting and goes on many scenic adventures with his family and friends. These wonderful subjects have also inspired Sy to capture wonderful photos of people and landscapes that are well worth featuring on this website.
